Rest Day
Thanks you guys for an awesome week. What a great start to the 9 Week Challenge. Remember to bring in your food logs for review. One down, eight to go! Watch those points add up! It’ll only get easier.
Trust
Trust. We need it, we desire it. We trust that our car stops when we depress the brake pedal. We trust our alarm clock to obey its command. We trust the smoke alarm in our home to wake us before it’s too late. And maybe naively, we trust each other to do the right thing. Trust is Love. So then what to do when we lose trust? As when the light turns red but the other driver doesn’t stop. Or the poorly developed person robs your house when you’re on vacation, a friend takes advantage of you, or that snake oil didn’t really give you more energy. How do we continue after we learn the truth of the tooth fairy or shockingly that your college professor was wrong about something? Life isn’t perfect. Dammit. Should we be bitter? Resentful? Angry? Never trust again?
Nah. Just learn from it and move on. Pay more attention, act quicker, keep your guard up. Maybe follow your instincts. Figure out what and where it went wrong and recognize the situation when it’s presented again. Maybe it was completely your fault. You’ll be stronger and better prepared next time. Trust your strength and Love the adversity for making you better. Now, go get better. More trust, more strength, more Love.
