This week wraps up The Challenge. We’ve had a few folks ask if they can continue to send in food logs and/or pictures. Yes, that’d be fine with us. Some need that “accountability” and we are here for you. For those who are showing improvements and looking for more, please keep going. Don’t stop the momentum. If you are working towards a goal, keep going with it until you reach the place you want to be.
Some are frothing at the mouth and counting the hours down so you can “cheat”. I’m afraid part of the lesson has been lost for those few. Hopefully everyone learned some things. Maybe some great new recipe, maybe that processed foods are laced with crazy additives designed to create yearning and craving and yes, you were addicted like a crack-head. (And maybe you still are…check the corners of your mouth for froth.) Perhaps you learned that with proper nutrition your body composition is improving or your performance increases. Maybe you feel better. Maybe you shared the experience with your household and your family all of a sudden feels better, sleeps better. The kids can focus for some reason. Or maybe even your loved ones’ achy joints or headaches or some long term ailment…has gone away. Poof, so quietly it almost went unnoticed.
We encourage all of you to reach a happy medium with proper nutrition. Remember this is about a lifestyle, not an on-again, off-again thing. Reference the Nutrition Guide and us for any help. If you must re-introduce or you find yourself re-introducing a certain food, try to pick one item, one meal at a time. Be sensitive to your body’s reaction and how you feel. And remember what is going on inside your body. It’s your temple; your vehicle through Life. And it’s your only one so treat it accordingly.
