The Nutrition Challenge launches today, Monday, January 14. Review your HiDef Nutrition Guide for the template. Pay close attention to the Whole 30 Section. These are your guidelines. We are simply extending the challenge to 45 Days. So, clean out your pantry. Start a Food Log and get your meals in order. Maybe spend some time preparing some food for the week.

We believe nutrition is the foundation of any good fitness program, and the gateway to good health. Without question, the single greatest variable facing your body composition and fitness goals is your nutrition. So we would be remiss if we didn’t provide you both some education and means by which to optimize your nutrition. We do this by offering up a Nutrition Challenge of sorts. You already come to CrossFit Hi-Def and bust your ass on a weekly basis. But what you do in the gym is a small part of the picture. It’s what you do on the outside of the gym – the other 23+ hours a day- that will make the biggest difference.
For those willing to commit and make the change, we are willing to provide the education, support and if need be, cooking lessons, to support your efforts.
Change the way you think about, feel about and treat food, FOOD IS FUEL! Feeling good about everything you put in your body, is the key to long term success and reaching your goals.
– Keep a food journal which will be checked once a week by the Fairy WOD mother!
– get blood work done if possible.
-Waist/hip ratio measurements. We use these as a very good indicator of insulin resistance.
-Before/After photos. We will do front/back/side photos as well as front/profile pictures of your face.
-Earn points daily
+5 per day (full day of strict Whole 30 regulation)
-10 per cheat
+1 per WOD
-2 if you WOD less than 2 times per week
+2 for minimum 8 hours sleep per night
+1 for minimum 7 hours sleep per night

We’ve tried running this program a number of different ways in the past. We’ve had a challenge in getting people to be 100% compliant to the program. And quite frankly, we aren’t interested in half-assed participation. You are either in or you are out. No program modifications. No half-assing. The challenge will last 45 days and your goal will be to eat clean, WOD dirty, and take care of yourself (sleep, recovery, etc.)
