Great job on the first week of the Whole 30! For you veterans, are your challenges the same as, different or getting easier, compared to past experiences? How about you first timers? What kind of challenges did you have this week? Remember to email your food journal into the Google group email tomorrow (Sunday).
Homework for the weekend. Here’s an interesting lecture maybe worth sitting thru. Yes it’s a long one, 1.5 hrs. But it’ll inform you some about why the Whole 30 stresses no sugar. And also why it’s so dang hard to eliminate sugar from our lives. It may even help you answer some questions about your own or a loved ones’ health and well being. Maybe your kids, spouse, parents. Every one of us knows or are related to somebody who suffers from sugar-related pathology. Metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, etc…the list is long and maybe surprising. Anyways, give it a watch.
WOD: With a partner, heads up competition:

The most squats wins.
Rest 3 minutes then,
Partner 1 Rows 200m while Partner 2 does “shoot-thrus”. Switch positions when the row is completed. Continue for 6 minutes.
The most “shoot-thrus” wins.
