Today was a wonderful Murph. Thank you guys so much for being awesome and supporting this event. Good people, good food, good fun. The physical challenge of completing this WOD is intimidating. It’s long, there are a lot of reps and “Murph” has some enigma of dauntingness. But all of you stepped up to the challenge. That’s respectable, commendable and impressive. For some it was your first time. For others it was made a new challenge with unassisted pull ups, or doing the entire WOD unmodified, heck maybe you wore a mask and boots and everything else! Hoorah!
No matter what your time was, you did it. No matter what the distractions in your life trying to drag you down, you set all that aside and performed. We are proud of you. Thank you.
Photos are in the Portfolio (here). We will keep adding more to the folder as they come in.

1 mile Run
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
