Today I saw true honor. Mike, a former wild land fire fighter, hotshot and smoke jumper (100+ jumps!) was honored when he showed up for his personal training session and was presented the option of the Hotshots 19 WOD. It really hit home for him. He’s the “Old Guard” and knows the game of fire fighting. The risks, the rewards, the challenges, the camaraderie built within the teams. Not only did Mike absolutely crush this workout, he completed one extra bonus round as a personal tribute for his own reasons. Now, if you’ve done the workout you know the challenge, would you do an extra round? I was truly impressed when I called time and he just motored on without a moment of hesitation.
