A competitive athlete for over 26 years with specializations in power-endurance sports, I’ve experienced many different training techniques, protocols, “fads” and coaching styles. As an aging multi-sport athlete with a family and business, I need to maximize the efficacy of my time spent training. Smartly planned mixed-modal training is hands down the best, most effective training one can do for real world fitness. I also appreciate and understand the idea of fitness being a lifelong journey. Our challenge is building fitness and then holding on to it as long as possible. But what’s really fun is teaching, coaching and helping others live a fun, fulfilling active lifestyle. It’s very gratifying to see somebody accomplish a once-thought-impossible feat, or reach a goal they’ve worked diligently towards.
