“Anything in life is possible if you make it happen.” “The food you eat today is walking and talking tomorrow.” “Better to wear out than rust out.” “Your health account is like your bank account: The more you put in, the more you can take out.” And many, many other great ones…

WOD: “Black Jack” Honoring Jack Lalanne the “Godfather of Fitness”
Reps for time of pushups and pull-ups:
20-1
19-2
18-3 continuing down to…
1-20
25 minute cutoff.
The WOD as Rx’d will give you 210 reps of each movement. Ouch… yet weak sauce compared to Lalanne’s feats! Objective: Reach at least 1000 pull-ups and 1000 pushups as a team for the day. Jack Lalanne did this solo in 1 hour 22 minutes! Holy Crap! Jack was the Man!
Today kicks off The Challenge. Be cool for the next 30 days and learn some things about yourself. Remember, if you would like results you’ve never had before, you need to do things you’ve never done before. This is less of a “diet” and more an introduction to a “way of eating for life”. Remember, the best you remember, is the best you know. Just a thought for those thinking about “going without” and planning re-introduction already on the first day, this may make for a long 30 days or hinder the experience. We urge you to keep an open mind. Stay free to the possibility of better health, more vitality, balanced energy. Play along with the challenge as prescribed and when the time comes, then we’ll talk re-introduction.
Remember, everybody is different. There is no “one-size-fits-all”, but there is over whelming evidence that certain foods when eaten, cause much more harm than good. For the majority of us, it’ll take years, maybe decades, to realize these health problems. Many times, the connections are never made, symptoms are treated with big pharmaceutical, and we suffer while the Docs still get paid. Research food qualities and effects of stuff going into your body, learn what you thrive on rather than merely survive on. Get pumped! Yeah! “TAKE THE POWER BACK!!!” -ratm

You can take The Viking out of the mountains (for like an hour or two), but you can’t take the mountains out of The Viking. Winter clothing…this is how he climbs mountains, skiis, shovels snow, puts on tire chains and does pull ups. Awesome!
