Michael came down and had a great work out. He learned the clean very quickly and kicked ass on the WOD.
The clean is a classic Olympic lift that’s technical and tough to execute. It’s very challenging and complex. It’s often avoided in the common gym or weight room because of these challenges and others. Yet this one movement trains strength, power, speed, flexibility, coordination, agility, and balance simultaneously. It’ll hit you hard! Michael demonstrates the full body demand in the pic below.
And in case you were wondering, the Elmo walker in the pictures is just in case you need assistance after the WOD. There’s no shame in needing it.
